I'm Julie! I am a southern girl, wife to my college sweetheart, mama to two cool kiddos, teacher to my fellow photographers, and I deeply love people and Jesus. I am not the typical photographer who was always carrying around a camera as a child. For me, photography just happened. It is my second career, and I guess you could say that it found me. From Day 1, my goal was to capture what was real, with nothing forced or posed. I want to tell stories. I want you look at my images and feel something. I want to connect to my clients, and I want to be your friend. Oh, and I do hug everyone - just giving you fair warning. Overall, I am a pretty happy and upbeat person, and yes, I'm that annoying morning person. Life is pretty amazing! I LOVE my job. I LOVE my clients. God is good, and I am so blessed.

I have traveled to all 50 states and 12 countries.

My dream has always been to be a voice in a Disney animated film. I secretly sing Disney songs all the time and pretend.

My greatest accomplishment is being a mom. I was told I never would be one. Our daughter is adopted from Russia, and our son is truly a miracle. I thank God everyday.

Milk in a frozen mason jar is the best! And, if you combine that with cookies...ahhhhh!

I'm sadly allergic to yummy truffle oil.

I have sung on TV!

I won't eat food if it touches the other food on my plate.

I just discovered that I'm an extroverted introvert. It took 44 years for someone to finally explain me to everyone else.

a few things that make me happy!
