I love shooting film. Yes, I love the colors, the look, but I just really love the process. When you shoot film you HAVE to know what you are doing. You have to know how to use light, be aware of your composition, and be patient enough to wait on that moment to happen instead of rapid shooting and hoping one of them is good.
BUT…
2020 changed things for me. My weddings were cancelled or postponed. Film is expensive and with no weddings, I started moving into shooting editorials and for wedding brands, which required a fast turn around and knowing that I got the shot that was needed on the spot.

And the Fujifilm GFX medium format camera was the answer for me.
I fell in love with this camera. I still love and shoot film but being able to shoot digital with instant access and be able to get the same look, has been a life changer.

I don’t claim to be the expert (yet) but if you have any questions on the cameras, my favorite lenses, how I edit to match my film, please reach out to me! In fact, Fujifilm just released a brand new GFX100S and an 80 1.7 lens this week and I can’t wait to give you guys my thoughts of it when I get my hands on it!!
Bottom line, I’m falling back in love in with digital and I’m not sad about it one bit!!!
