If you have been around for awhile, you’ve been noticing some big changes going on here in JP land.

But, let me back up for a bit if you are new around here…

In 2009 I was given a camera as a gift. It was Canon Rebel and I can’t tell you how excited I was to have a camera that would take a picture before my children blinked or ran away from me!

At the time, I was a full-time teacher. Education runs deep through my blood and I always knew that educating others was a my calling. It’s funny now to look back and see that I’m coming full circle.

So, to keep it brief, Photography found me in 2009 and for the past 11 years I’ve been busy. I started out shooting families and newborns. Shot 5 weddings in 2010 (strongly proclaiming that I DID NOT want to be a wedding photographer) jumped to 41 weddings in 2011 and continued that streak of 30-40 weddings a year through 2019. I also sprinkled in some education through mentoring, workshops, speaking at conferences and in 2017, I created my first online course.

My health was suffering, my relationships were suffering, my anxiety was at an all-time high and I knew I needed to make major changes. This level of “success” was not all that it was cracked up to be. I had “made it” according to the industry but at what cost?

But in 2018 I had a wake-up call…

I knew it was time to Pivot, but to what? HOW? Would people still want to learn from me if I wasn’t this fancy famous wedding photographer traveling the world and shooting celebrities anymore?

I battled with finding this new identity for 2 years. Then 2020 happened and well, let’s just say I was forced into this new Pivot and now that I have clarity, I just so thankful for it.

So what does this mean for you?

I’m still the same Julie but older and wiser. I’ve realized there so much more to life than being “busy” and all those accolades? I don’t need them to feel worthy.

YES, I’m still a photographer, but these days you will find me shooting editorials for bridal brands, shooting couples in beautiful destinations that focuses on connection and traveling to beautiful locations to add to my Fine Art print shop.

My new title is Pivot and Success coach.

• I host (2) 6 month masterminds a year helping others diversify their business and pivot into education.
• I offer online courses and workshops to help you expand your business and reach a luxury market.

Bottom line, I serve you. I cheer you on. I rally behind you. I help you create a business that you love and help you find your own success and stop chasing and comparing your worth to the success of others.

I so excited for this new PIVOT in my business. I’ve come full circle and I’m ready for it!
