For me everything changed when
I finally achieved industry "success" only to feel deeply unfulfilled.
Ever since I was a little girl, I knew my calling was to be a teacher. When I found myself in a small-town Florida classroom (teaching music to elementary school kids) I knew that I was right where I belonged. That is, until the day I took my family to the beach for a photo session that would change the trajectory of my life. See my sweet little girl, Mari Kate, is on the autism spectrum. No matter how hard I tried or how many photography studios I commissioned - no one could ever capture the beauty I saw in her.
Until that day at the beach...
That particular photographer captured my family in the most natural, effortless way and took photos of Mari Kate that finally encompassed the little girl I knew and loved. I remember getting in the car with Matt with flushed cheeks saying, “If I ever quit my job as a teacher, THAT is what I want to do. I want to take pictures of people that capture emotion and connection.”
Over 10 years later, that desire came true.
I owned a thriving wedding photography business that exceeded my wildest dreams...
I booked celebrities, saw my work on the cover of People magazine, tripled my bookings, traveled to Europe every few months, spoke in front of thousands of photographers, and even founded a leading photography conference: The Hybrid Co.
I was over the moon. My business was growing in ways I didn’t think were possible (I mean, I was just that girl who was gifted a camera a few years back). And by the world’s standards I had made it. But something still wasn't sitting right.
But something still wasn’t sitting right.
That's when I realized that accomplishments & recognition paled in comparison to living out
my unique purpose.
My life's calling was always to be a teacher and it clicked: As long as I ignored that piece of my heart, I would always feel unfulfilled. After being a wedding photographer for 11 years, I decided to more fully embrace my roots of education to help other creatives & photographers find their own success and stop using the success of others as a gauge of their worth.
The truth is, you have so much beauty to offer this world...
And I'm committed to helping you live out your fullest potential. My students & coaching clients have been able to ditch comparison, create thriving passive income streams, start new businesses, pivot into luxury markets, increase their bottom line, and so much more. Those accomplishments make my heart burst, but more than that? It's the joy and freedom I see in them as they release all those industry expectations and live out their own success stories that keeps me going.

Burnt out, overworked, & ready to quit. I then discovered film and everything changed.
Rediscovered my passion for photography, traveled the world shooting weddings and teaching workshops, booked celebrity clients, 2 covers of People magazine, educated thousands of photographers through workshops and online courses, founded The Hybrid Co. and hit all those levels of perceived success...
However, something was missing and my “success” was not as fulfilling as I thought it would be.
Everything changed. Yes, 2020 was hard but I discovered that I could pivot and I could help others do that as well. I also learned how to redefine my success and realized that other people need help with this as well. I also realized that I don’t need to be a fancy wedding photographer traveling the world and shooting celebrities in order to add value to the industry.
